Tapovan sits on the hillside above Laxman Jhula, on the quieter bank of the Ganga. Close enough to walk down to the river before morning practice, far enough up that the town's noise stays in the town.
- From Dehradun airport
Jolly Grant (DED) — we collect you
The closest airport to Rishikesh, and the pick-up from it is free and already in your fee. It is arranged around your flight rather than around a timetable, so send us your arrival details and a car will be waiting whatever hour you land.
- From Delhi by air
A short domestic hop to DED
Most international students land at New Delhi and fly on to Jolly Grant. It is the easiest arrival there is, and it is the one the free pick-up meets.
- From Delhi by road
5–6 hours by car
Out through the plains and up into the foothills, with the usual highway chai stops. We can arrange the cab, but this journey is not included in the fee — ask us for the price before you book it.
- From Delhi by train
Yog Nagari Rishikesh, or Haridwar
Both work. Haridwar is about forty-five minutes out; the school is 10–12 km on from Yog Nagari Rishikesh station, and a taxi or a tuk-tuk covers the last stretch.
- From Delhi by bus
Kashmiri Gate ISBT
Buses to Rishikesh leave New Delhi from the Kashmiri Gate inter-state terminal.
